Project Update 10/11

For the project so far, I have completed the website and upload all of the WOA assignments. I started to work on the project temple timeline and filled is some on information, but still, need to continue finishing that planing out. I finished up viewing the 2 visual arts from my project, but now I need to come up with the best three forms of art from this list (I am learning towards Black is King, Kendrick Lamar's BET performance, and one of literature):

1. Lemonade,

2. Black is King

3. The Color Purple

4. From Black looks (Bell Hooks)

5. Blue legacies (Angela Y Davis)

6. Poem about my rights (June Jordan),

7. Who said it was simple (Audre Lorde)

8. Kendrick Lamar Alright in BET awards (look back at the articles from Black Lives Matter Movement: Focusing On Kendrick Lamar's impact blog post)

  1. Ohhhhh I was thinking about doing Kendrick Lamar's Alright too. A couple days after I wrote my project update I asked myself "ok if I'm going to be centered around music and mainly Kanye West and K-Lamar what songs do I want to focus on?" I've also been listening to Alright and Element a lot lately. I might not even do Alright and just do Element.

  2. I remember how Kendrick has started from the beginning and definitely is a good influence for people in the way of trusting the process and building a good resistance support in order to grow in life. Talking about his music, he brings messages in all his songs that most people will not understand that quick because of the good beat and all that. However, I feel that this project will be awesome!
    Congrats Raji

  3. Ooooohhh!! I love your choices and my goodness you just gave me some ideas. I would definitely consider "black is King", I think you would get a lot of information on that depending on where you get your information from and I think that "The Color Purple" would also be another interesting one to write about. If it wasn't for the pandemic I would work with you on these subjects, and I think Kendrick Lamar has influenced a lot of African Americans that I would definitely write about his achievements and influence.
