A Reflection From the Past 14 Weeks

Image
Hi reader, I would like to say this year has started with a "learning curve" when students had to adapt to online courses instead of in-person classes. But I would say that this course has relaxing, stressful in a few moments and had tons of freedoms. This course generally felt relaxing because I was able to do my work during my own time and at my own pace. But in some moments, like wrapping up the ATAP project and some blog posts, I felt like I had too much work for this one class. Lastly, this course had much freedom because students were able to learn on their own accord with specific topics given by the professor.  The most challenging piece that I wrote for this course was the This I Believe essay because I wrote about an emotional life experience and connecting it to an art, music, that impacts people's decisions every day. Since I add an emotional event to this piece, it made it slightly hard to write and to think of the best way to connect it to art. After much ed...

Project Update on 12/6/20

Image
Hi reader,      I would say that I had another good week of progress on my project and on the website until the snowfall hit. I was not able to finish as much as I wanted to this week because I lost power Saturday evening. I was able to finish The Color Purple section in my final project. I planned on finishing the rest of the project early this week and edit the rest of the project at the end of the week. Then, I made changes based on the instructor's feedback this week and focused on grammar in Jordan's poem. As well as I improved on the content of Jordan's poem. I plan on finishing the last piece of art this week and edit the whole page.  Image by Alexas_Fotos from  Pixabay   Sincerely   Raj

Hi reader,      I would say that I had another good week of progress on my project and on the website. I was not able to start writing about the art, From Black looks and Feminism is for Everybody by Bell Hooks. I planned on finishing it this past week but did not have time since I had a lot of tests and labs. I was able to start adding notes and parts of emphasis on the novel The Color Purple and to the visual album Lemonade . Then, I made changes based on the instructor feedback this week and focused on grammar in the introduction. I plan of starting 1-2 write-ups on one of the arts that already has notes on it during the break. Image by yogesh more from  Pixabay   Sincerely Raj

Hi reader,      I would say that I had another good week of progress on my project and on the website. I was able to start and finish my introduction to the website and to the project. Next, I started to add notes and parts of emphasis on the visual art of Black is King. This is my 3rd watch of this and I feel confident about the message this art provides. But I plan of starting 1-2 full write-ups on one of the arts that already has notes on it. I published a draft of the intro and notes on the website. Image by DarkmoonArt_de from  Pixabay

Hi reader,      I would say that I had another good week of progress on my final project and on the website. I first made edits I got from my enlightenment and TIB works based on my peer and instructed feedback. For enlightenment, I made some sentences more clear and add a picture of the Principle of Mathematica. For the TIB essay, I made the connection between music and alcohol stronger and fixed up some issues about content. For the website, I add subtitles for each type of art I am planning to use and add an introduction section. I, unfortunately, did not take time this week to start the intro, but I plan of doing this coming week. I published a draft of the first art, Alright, and add notes for two out of six arts on the website.  Image by Niek Verlaan from Pixabay      Sincerely Raj

website update 10/30/20

Hi reader,      I would say that I made good progress on my final project and on the website. I first edited all my posts on the website for grammar and content. I heavily focused on the peer feedback I got from last week and made changes accordingly. Next, I focused on if the content and grammar for all the posts were met, and made sure all of the sentences flowed nicely.       Then, I looked at the rest of the arts from my brainstorm post on the website. I decided to remove the Blue legacies  by Angela Y Davis, and Who said it was simple, by Audre Lorde, from my final project. I thought both of these arts are very good pieces, but I did not think they would add a ton to the final project. Therefore, the brainstorm list is updated and I have my best six arts to use for the final project. Since I found my best six arts, I started to develop a theme and it is posted on the brainstorming post and is shown below. This coming week I plan to group...

Website progress 10/24

Hi reader,       I would say that I am in a good position with my website. I added my post-modernism piece this week to the website and edited my enlightenment page. I revised a good portion of the grammar from the paper and followed some of the feedback given to me. I added a new image and brought in more evidence to further prove my point in that paper.      I made some internal fixes to the website. First, I organized the website into three categories, the Home page, which includes the TIB essay, the Critical analysis, including the four posts about the four eras, and lastly the final project section. I also fixed the layout of each page and put the image and source citation on top of the page, and the text below the image.      Lastly, I worked out the final project and created an updated list of arts that I will be using. This week I finished up reviewing some excerpts from  The Color Purple and Black looks,  by Bell Hooks...
