Website progress 10/24

Hi reader,

I would say that I am in a good position with my website. I added my post-modernism piece this week to the website and edited my enlightenment page. I revised a good portion of the grammar from the paper and followed some of the feedback given to me. I added a new image and brought in more evidence to further prove my point in that paper.

I made some internal fixes to the website. First, I organized the website into three categories, the Home page, which includes the TIB essay, the Critical analysis, including the four posts about the four eras, and lastly the final project section. I also fixed the layout of each page and put the image and source citation on top of the page, and the text below the image.

Lastly, I worked out the final project and created an updated list of arts that I will be using. This week I finished up reviewing some excerpts from The Color Purple and Black looks, by Bell Hooks, and think both of these pieces will help my project. Next week I am planning on going through these pieces: Blue legacies by Angela Y Davis,  June Jordan poem, and Who said it was simple by Audre Lorde.

  1. Hey Raj,

Great to see that you were able to edit many aspects of your website from the external to the internal with a solid flow through the website that makes it easy for any user to navigate through. You could include any of the additional past writings if they would be helpful in providing extra information into the home page as it holds the TIB essay, which I believe I will implement this type of strategy.

    Best,

  2. Hello Raj, I'm glad that things are going well with your project so far, and working on the overall outline first. It should help make the rest of the project go a lot more smoothly, even if it doesn't feel like you are making as much progress immediately. I am curious as to what you will be using for secondary sources, as I am having some trouble finding some that connect to a few of my pieces. Best of luck continuing your work.

  3. Hi Raj. It seems that you have organize yourself pretty good, looks like a very good timing. If you actually follow this plan I think you should be able to be done with the project with time enough to review everything as many times as you want to make sure everything is the way you wanted! Just make sure to keep going. It happens to me a lot that I plan everything ahead but after that I do not stick to the plan. Keep it up!

  4. Hey Raj, it is good that you are seeming to figure everything out. I applaud you for taking the time and going out of your way to make sure you are organized before adding any content to the website. I think that over time this decision will make the following weeks much easier than if you did not prepare like this. This made me look back on my website to make sure everything is organized for the following weeks. Good Luck!
